Chartered Architectural Technologist (MCIAT, MFPWS)
Director and co-founder of ghd partnership Ltd with 10 years’ experience within an architectural environment. Debby has a strong project management background and has architectural experience in a number of fields. Debby heads up the architectural and design works for ghd partnership and relishes the challenge of creating spaces that work well for the clients. The satisfaction of seeing the finished and built design that meets and exceeds the client’s needs is the area of work that Debby enjoys most along with the challenges that some designs pose. Debby enjoys the contract and on site project management stages which involves working with the main contractor to complete the build. Debby is a very organized person and likes to ensure projects progress to timetables and budgets. In her spare time, Debby enjoys time with her family, friends and dog. Summer time brings with it the start of the camping season with trips to Dorset and Devon. Debby and her husband have also recently purchased a house in France which they are in the process of improving and installing a swimming pool. The challenges of managing project works remotely have been met and Debby has been pleased with the contractors she has found in France to carry out works that range from lime plastering internal walls, installing log burners, installing new bathrooms and refurbishing the kitchen. Installing a 5m x 10m salt water swimming pool which is to be heated by an air source heat pump has involved a fair amount of research.

Heather also enjoys walking and has climbed Scafell Pike and Snowdon and is looking to complete Ben Nevis by the end of this year. Another of Heather’s challenge is to undertake the London to Brighton bike ride. You will also find her trying to organize various coffee mornings at work in aid of various charities.
